I tried to install it from usb and with some success, the newer versions didn't even load up and the machine didn't see them as a bootable media( I tried every single imaging tool and none would solve it, I think it's down to either freenas not being able to be configured as a mbr partition as I am using an lga775 Intel board and that platform doesn't have UEFI so I can't install a gpt boot partition. I tried the original disk with freenas 9.3 that I used the first 2 times and it loded as far as the menu but after clicking the installer it have out cd04 error and nothing I did worked to fix it (I tried all the CD drives I had laying around and I think the disc has been scratched since the last time I used it). I have been trying to install the os for 2 days now and have had some success but I can't get it to work. I reinstalled the os and it worked for a bit till I think one of the os drives corrupted a bit(I think). Now the problems started like months ago from me transporting the nas in a very improper way to say the least and it wouldn't boot into the os after that. I was having issues with SMB that I couldn't resolve so I thought I would try and reinstall the os.
